I have been playing around a bit with the force feedback effects in F12K and
havent really been able to get happy with it.
I know that it is poorly implemented (which is a sin really), but some thing
s I have found leave me really POed.
I ahve been following hte season in F12K religously since we started it. So
after Imola I went right to practise Silverstone. What jumped out at me rig
ht away was the lack of ANY FF effects outside the pits other that rumble st
ips and hitting walls, the reason this struck me was IN the pits the FF are
very good and about 3/4 the way out they dissapear! really leaves one to wa
onder what they were thinking.
Anyway antoher problem I am having is that no matter what, when FF is enable
d in the sim I lose center spriningin on my Logitech FF wheel, turn it back
on and its back. Its easy to drive without it but I want het effort involve
d in *trying* to turn not simply flisking my wrist.
any opinions / help?

I noticed this too, and thought it was just an error on my system. I'm
very interested in finding what others have to say...

Does this problem only occur at Silverstone? If so, that is really odd. How
could FF be track dependent?

Ditto here too. In the pits, the FF wheel is as tight and heavy as in
GPL. As you exit the pits or gain speed or both, you loose that.
You are left with kurbs, some bumps with the AI and a feeling
of being sucked into the kitty litter when you go off into the gravel.
My bet is that it would be fairly easy for them to patch.

Same here... You cas feel it if you're sitting in the grass & moving very slowly,
but once you get past 50 mph it's gone. I tried to max the ff settings & enabling
the centering spring to no avail. Kinda sucks, cause that's my major gripe about
the game... If there were even a *little* friction on the wheel I think I'd be
able to be more consistent, but there is *NONE*! Maybe I should try my old TM GP1
wheel...

The FF in F12K is not anything like as good as GPL, but nevertheless, it
adds a lot to the experience, and is better implemented than most.

THERE IS NO FF on the tracks at high speeds with my Logitech Wingman FF, my
you have a better whell, but FF SUPPORT should not be whell dependant. If t
he effects were there then I could forgive it, but they are not.

friction FF from the road other than at crawling speeds in the pits, or when
you're in the gravel. Impossible to feel a difference between if you're going
straight or thru a tight bend. Vibrating over curbs doesn't add to the
experience at all for me when you can steer around a chicane with a feather.
It's the worst FF I've felt, and considering SCGT pretty much sucked, That's
saying something. Actually, I expected a lot better... I thought they were
starting to figure FF out on SCGT, but they must have forgotten it when they
implemented it into this game. A shame, since I think the game rocks otherwise!

I must be doing something wrong here. I really hold
Allison's comments in pretty high regard, considering all of her work
with GPL... But I get nothing! She said she can feel more downforce at
higher speeds... what did I screw up in my LWFF profile? I actually have
my centering spring and FF effects set on 150% and I get nada. Anybody
have a profile they want to post or possibly send me? I really want FF
in this game, but I think I get more road resposnse from my non-FF
Thrustmaster GP1 wheel.
