Yes. I only got points at one or two tracks, but I've done it... Eldred -- Tiger Stadium R.I.P. 1912-1999 Own Grand Prix Legends? Goto http://gpl.gamestats.com/vroc Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you with experience... Remove SPAM-OFF to reply.

Just wondering if anybody has done a full championship on GPL and won? We often here people celebrating their first win or sub 1:30 Monza lap but I have never heard of anyone winning a championship. You can find out all about how to do that at Allison Hine's great GPL site at http://simracing.com/alison/gpl/ . Then go to the FAQ's. It tells how to do it. Hang on...here is a copy/paste of her instructions. ============= 5.3 Why can't I race against the AI while driving a Trainer? Actually, you can. You have to change one small item in your player.ini file. I recommend you create a new player just for racing in each of the Trainers. For example, I have three drivers: Alison Hine (for the GP car), Ali-F2 Hine (for the Advanced Trainer), and Ali-F3 (for the Basic Trainer). Once you've created the extra player or two, open the GPL players folder (by default, C:\SIERRA\gpl\players) and then open the folder for one of the training players. For example, I would open C:\SIERRA\gpl\players\Hine__Ali-F2. Now, using a text editor, edit the file called player.ini. Look for a parameter called driverRating. It's in the [ Personal Information ] stanza. Change the value of driverRating to 2 for the Advanced Trainer, or 1 for the Basic Trainer. Now, when you race as one of these new drivers, the AI will go slower. ============= Hope this helped. It made GPL a lot more fun for me after I did that. All of my races are now in F2 mode. I'll keep using that until I feel that I can move up to F1. But it's gonna be while. Jim Tester

Sorry, I misread the question. No, I haven't WON a full season. Yes, I've *finished* one... I gotta stop reading the group so late at night...<blush> Eldred -- Tiger Stadium R.I.P. 1912-1999 Own Grand Prix Legends? Goto http://gpl.gamestats.com/vroc Never argue with an idiot. That does work but you have no choice but to run the F1 in the championship mode. You can run individual races with no problem but not the championship. Unless someone has found out other wise. > >David Ewing wrote > >> >> I thought you couldn't run F2 or F3 in championship mode. Or did youjust

Pops. You can't ! Sure you can race the ai in single races but in championship mode, the cars default to F1. Some of us have been hoping for a hack for a long time now. The latter of the two, Dave. I just ran each race as a separate event and tallied up the scores......like we did in 1999 for the HMRC events. -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- David Ewing <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > Bruce Kennewell wrote: > > > Yes, but only at F2 level and with just Brands Hatch as the one extra track. > > I thought you couldn't run F2 or F3 in championship mode.
