In Grand Prix Legends you can extend the number of available views by editing the Player.ini. My personal favourite of the extra views is the 12th view, which is situated on the roll bars, as seen in the replays. A similar view exists in Nascar Racing 3, so I'm wondering if anybody had sussed out a way to do the same sort of thing to access it during a race. Any ideas? { If you'd like to discuss this issue further, don't hesitate to contact me on ICQ, at 70300233 }

It would only be in use for watching replays. The enhancements of the cameras in GPL are directly related to the new game engine and how easily it can move the main cockpit position to any XYZ point. Basically, in N3 (and any old game engine product by Papyrus), the camera is set to an XYZ position hardcoded into the game, and the 2d cockpit with the gauges is laid on the screen. The only thing left is the movement of that position but that also is hardcoded. If you know some Hexa, you can tweak it `:) -- -- Franois Mnard <ymenard> -- May the Downforce be with you... -- http://www.WeRace.net -- People think it must be fun to be a super genius, but they don't realise how hard it is to put up with all the idiots in the world.

How do you edit the player.ini file to get different views while driving? Thanks, Todd Alpha Omega <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

Open the Player.ini, located in the Players folder. Scroll down to [Personal Information] and change the number on the line reading drivingview to read 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 and upwards, etc... There are quite a few views (as I've said, 12 is my personal favourite) but be careful, because if you press the change view button from within GPL, you'll have to exit the game and edit the Player.ini to use the same view again. Have fun experimenting! { If you'd like to discuss this issue further, don't hesitate to contact me on ICQ, at 70300233 }
