Can someone tell me where I can get hold of the movie "Grand Prix" in the UK ? I've looked around all the shops locally including second-hand shops but to no avail. I've always wanted to see the movie but I always seem to miss it on tv. If someone can give me the name of a UK website where I might find it I might finally see what all the fuss is about. BTW I've already checked on amazon.co.uk. TIA Andrew

Hi Ive also tried getting hold of the film with no joy. Your best alternative is to find someone who has Sky digital and record it next Saturday night. It is on Turner classic movies (TCM) at 9pm. I have a copy of Grand Prix, taped off TNT (Satellite Channel). As far as I can remember, it's a good recording. If you have no luck finding an original (I've checked blackstar.co.uk, and dukevideo.com, both usually excellent suppliers, with no result), I may be able to send you a copy of mine(Quality may be compromised slightly). If you are interested, let me know (send me your e-mail address, I couldn't reply to the one in the message), I'll check the quality (and enjoy!) and let you know. Ive had a look too a while ago, and didnt find anything. You can get it from Amazon.com though. Shipping is a bit dearer, but what the hell. I got my copy of Le Mans there (Steve McQueen in a 917 - fantastic), and it was on $10. You do need to have a video that plays NTSC tapes. Hope it helps!

I did a check on Ebay for you, Mr. Thomas, but nothing listed in Britain, sad to say. -- Regards, Bruce Kennewell, Canberra, Australia. --------------------------- A Thomas <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8dag9n$fnv$[email hidden]... > Can someone tell me where I can get hold of the movie "Grand Prix" in the UK > ? I used to have Le Mans on tape for a while until I taped something else over it . I love the early scenes with those 917s screaming along the track. Best viewed with a cup of petrol at your side to create the atmosphere.
