Hi!
Ifve posted this problem in german groups but no one
had an answer to the following:
My MS FF wheel worked fine with GPL for month. Its connected to the
gameport permanetly but I only plug it into the socket when I use it.
Suddenly GPL cant calibrate my Wheel any more. It doesnt
recognize any axis or buttons. I changed nothing on my system
neither hardware nor software.
The SB AWE 32 gameport doesnt work at all. I changed it.
Few weeks later the SB 16 gameport reacts like above. But
now I can still use the wheel with GP2 or TOCA2 - but NOT with GPL.
Im using Win98 SE, directX7, GPL 1.2 with openGL.
Is it possibel to destroy the gameport by pluggin the wheel
during the computer is on?
Hope someone had an answer or any experience with this.
Its sad to play GPL without my wheel but I dont want
to destroy the lend AWE64 from my best friend.
Bye
Mario

Try going to your player folder and delete the following file and
then restart GPL:
controls.cfg
try both generic and direct inside GPL

It is possible, but many folks do it all the time with no damage.
