N3 Snetterton

5 posts by 4 people · 03 May 2000 - 03 May 2000 19:10 UTC

I ran the N3 converted Snetterton, and I have not ran two good laps without the game crashing. Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, is there a fix? MACHINE: PII-200, 32MB RAM, university lab comp (no 3D cards or fancy gizmos) Tim Traylor LRL Engineering

Can't say I've had it crash on me yet, done about a 100 laps there over the past couple of days, and I've not heard that anyone else have had this problem either What kind of vid card are you using ? Hmm, Goy, just out of curiosity, what kind of lap times are achieved in "pizzacars"? AFAIK ,when we released the track for GPL it was not supported for software mode, only gfx. Matt

I have the same problem as you do, and I also run in software mode. The only way to keep Snetterton from crashing for me, is to turn off the wall graphics, ie, hit the 5 key. Urk, good question, I'll need to fire up N3 and have a looksie, but I think I'm a couple of seconds slower than the faster GPL guys or something, Snetterton is a tough track to get to grips with, very few objects around the track to use as braking markers and turn in points, I effing hate the track :-), the only object I'm certain to find each time is the bridge..... The layout itself is very enjoyable though, and I can well imagine that it could be fun online Beers and cheers (uncle) Goy "Team Mirage" http://www.teammirage.com/ "The Pits" http://www.theuspits.com/ * Spam is for losers who can't get business any other way * "Spamkiller" http://www.spamkiller.com
