I just upgraded from a six year old 15" monitor to a brand spanking new CTX
PR705F FD Trinitron flat screen monitor. Yes GPL forcing me to spend more
money! The quality of the picture is superb, once you get over the fact
that an absolutely flat screen appears to be concave. After a day I can't
understand how I used the old one.
Anyway, whilst looking at Slot's useful site today (great work BTW) I
noticed he'd put a small grey scale calibration pattern on it so that you
can set your brightness and contrast correctly. This got me wondering
whether any of you knew of any free/shareware monitor calibration utilities,
you know the one's with all the colour and test patterns, and could point me
in their direction so that I can set my monitor up to be at its best?
Cheers
Phil
