To buy or not to buy..

I'm thinking of picking up GPL, but I have a problem with the demo. The game closes out and I'm kicked back to the desk top after awhile. It could be 20 minutes or just 2. I was wondering what could be doing this? Overheating of the video card? Another question I have is I've heard a lot about VROC. Does it cost money to use this to race against other people on-line? The demo doesn't work with the 3d portion of your card. If you get the game...well worth it btw...you'll need an opengl beta patch from Sierra. Then ask some of the nvidia users here to help you get through the technical stuff of getting the tnt to work better. Vroc is free, a simple dload PLUS one additional file to fix a small bug and you are off to the land of Free and usually very good racing. check it out... dave henrie Target 12 wrote:

What video card are you using, because GPL has a tendancy to crash when switching modes on a Voodoo 2. Does the game always crash when you are in the menus? Also i've known GPL to crash sometimes when viewing spectacular crash replays, where the cars get into places they shouldn't. And Vroc is free and easy to use.
