Bloody hell Bruce. Mothers day again. It feels as though the last one was only about six weeks ago! This thing is getting expensive. I bet the card manufacturers are loving business these days <G> Seriously though, we had a much more interesting national event here in the UK on friday. It was national nurses day :-) MS "Bruce Kennewell" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > At least that way you won't be accussed of forgetting! :-) > As it is now Sunday morning (8:30) here, a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all ofyou

Bruce, Actually, I just opened a local newspaper, and found that here in the U.S., it's a week. Now, I wouldn't be so quick to blame the "group or organization." I suspect the Big Hospitals, HMOs, etc., have a lot to do with this, (helped along by the Nursical [!] equivalent of the AMA) as it gives everybody's Personnel and PR offices extra room for silliness. I imagine Hallmark and FTD are also involved. PR offices are all run by the Devil and his minions. --David K. PS: You asked, "True...one out of 365. But is there any group or cause that _doesn't_ have their own "day"? Hmmmm, . . . the poor? "National Nurses Day"?!!! My admiration for the nursing profession is unbounded (my own mother was a nursing sister) but their own _DAY_? No...even the poor have their day David (here, anyway).
