Is ICR2 still the best way to simulate IRL at Indy? Is there a
website out there that has IRL mods, cars, etc. for ICR2?
(hehe, I think I have ABC: Road to Indy stored somewhere, but
that game just doesn't cut it)

Marc Nelson made an ICR2 IRL mod. It changed the car shape & the sound,
along with the menu screens. It was an excellent add-on, BTW. You'll
find his site, The Sim Project, at http://www.simracing.com. I assume
he still has it there. If not, drop him a line & ask him about it!

Simply purchase Indy Racing 2000 when it's released. It should
be out soon.

Sorry to ask, but are you serious about this title? I
apologize, but I've heard nothing about it. Do you have a link
for info? Thanks in advance.

Somebody....and I cannot remember who it was....actually did a modded car
shape that simulated the IRL-style car. Now, the problem is trying to find
it. You might like to try The Pits.

Yes, he's serious. The link is http://www.indyracing2000.com but there's
not much there yet. The game was previewed in last month's Incite magazine,
where they had Juan Montoya try it out. There's a full page adverti***t
in this month's Incite. Looks promising from the early screenshots, but the
release date is unclear.

offensive, hehe.
