Since GP3 wil support multiplayer over a LAN, how difficult would it be to
put a converter to allowd TCP/IP? And how difficult is it to do what Kali
does?
Somebody about 6 months ago stated that indeed would happen. He said
words to the effect that a private effort somewhat like what brought us
VROC would take that tiny loophole in the mulitplayer capability and
enable at least some form of multiplayer. He spoke like someone who had
some access to the GP3 development...so who knows.

ps, I have ABSOLUTELY no clue who that 'somebody' was.

Remember GP3 should support IPX protocol, like F1RS did (1st F1 game from
Ubisoft), and we were able
to use F1RS through Kali to play online on the internet !!!!!!
We probably can play GP3 through IPX with the help of 3rd party program like
Kali !!!!

But how many players is GP3's IPX multi-play supporting? I don't
remember the exact number but 4-8 comes to mind.

Why the enthusiasm? I understand F1RS online play sucked and IPX
support in the 21st century hardly sounds worth rejoicing over.
There's no reason it should suck, I used it with a rather slow connection in
those days and it worked fine.
