Joke about hurling a cat draws mixed reactions

GTX_SlotCar assured readers his cat was fine after a joke post about throwing it in frustration. Goy Larsen explained why animal cruelty jokes upset him, others defended black humour and Monty Python, and the thread descended into cat jokes and troll accusations.

Ok. To those few who have expressed concern after my post about hurling my cat, I assure you that Buster is alive and well and I was only joking. Pictures of him (alive of course) are temporarily on display at www.slottweak.com under the News for May 25. Also, I do not really want any free kittens and I have never felt like tearing my wheel off my desk. For those who didn't read the post or just don't care, I apologize for taking up space with this (ridiculous) post. -- Slot www.slottweak.com Tweaks & Reviews "GTX_SlotCar" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:NLkW4.11970$[email hidden]... > LOL. very well done. > > > > And last but not least, I'd like to thank my cat, Willy <sniff>, for > > always being there right beside me whenever things went wrong during a > > This reminds me that we really don't give our pets the credit they are due. > My cat, Buster, is often beside me while I'm racing. There's only a few things in this world that get me really mad, and people hurting and killing animals for fun is one of them, if I thought for a second that he wasn't joking...... I don't know, could be from the time I saw my neighbors cat after he had been stabbed over 50 times with a ski pole or something (nope, we never found the bastard who did it, which is why I'm not serving 20 to life or something), so for some reason I don't find jokes like that very funny..... Jeezum Crow, some people really have NO sense of humor I guess. To paraphrase Tom Sawyer, " All I want is a cat and a string to swing it with." For all you cat lovers out there, my cat is sitting right next to me, purring away, without a fear in the world that I might swing her from a string. She's a sweetie and treats me better than any person I've ever known. I reciprocate the favor.

Once, I accidentally knocked my cat off the desk & she hit her head a little. It scared her. She hid on a little shelf under the desk. I felt bad so I gave her some strawberry jelly so she would trust me again. A few weeks later she was eaten by a coyote. The End Andrew GTX_SlotCar wrote:

Doh! Guess I should have looked at the pictures first <blushing> Judging from the pictures, that candy cane Buster is trying to eat gives me the impression that you are trying to pass off two Christmas pictures as being recent. By your reaction. Think about what his point WAS for a few minutes. > What in the god damn hell is a troll god damn it? A troll is someone who trolls. Someone who makes a provocative post for the express purpose of generating heated response. Trolling in the real world is a fishing technique where you drag a line behind a boat and randomly hope something comes across it and bites. A troll is an an ugly little charecter who lives under a bridge and eats billy goats who try to cross it. You see the analogies? > How's road runner BTW? Just fine, thank you.
