I go thru the task manager to shut down everything but Explorer,
Systray, nukenaber, my firewall, and the MS wheel driver thingy. It
was working great and now it's locking up after like 10 laps or so.
I've dropped the cpu down to 650 to see if that affects it. Only
thing new is the aitweaker. I don't think it should affect that but
it did start right after I tweaked the AI a bit with it. Sounds like
a coincidence though.

Make sure you have nothing running in background. And no screen saver,
no power management on disk and no virus scan or other scheduled task.
And if you have MS Find Fast, turn it off or dump it.

<[email hidden]> thus spoke:
Those sypmtoms suggest to me that the vid card is overheating. Set
your cpu back to default and see if it still happens. If you are
running a 550 @ 800mhz then you are using a FSB of 145/6. Does your mb
have an agp divider of half? If it doesn't you are running it very
high at a 2/3 divider.

it back down to 550 and it seemed to work ok one time. I then set it
to 600 and it locked up again. I haven't tested this extensively yet
so not sure if it's just a fluke or not. It used to work just fine.
Then all of a sudden the problem started out of, seemingly, nowhere.
Thanks for the advice.
