Hi there, Some time back I got a custom paint job for my Lotus, I believe I got it from the GPLEA site. Anyway, it turns my Lotus from British Racing Green to Baby Blue ;-). Needless to say, it stands out on the track. When racing online, I have noticed that if I don't get assigned the number 4, I don't get that paint job - and if someone in a Lotus in the race does have number 4, they get it instead. I have a few pals that I race online with - we would like to be able to custom paint our cars, and all share the same settings, so that when we race online with other folks or AI, we can always pick out our buddies with the custom paint jobs. Has anyone out there figured out how to this? Thanks in advance... wtonsmann Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

not sure if this really does it for you, but what we do is this: I called my custom paint job lot15.mip since most times when I join a server I end up being #15....3 of us are doing the 67 season in the order that it happened.....the person hosting the race is always #4, the first to join is always #15 and the 3rd is always #16.......so I have a copy of their "skins" saved as lot4.mip and lot16.mip.......this way I see them the way they painted their files......if the #'s get mixed up well.....this whole technique falls apart.....in the player.ini there is a preferred number setting....but it doesn't seem to result in a definite # assignment......there must be a better way. <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8gp8vf$dej$[email hidden]...
