Will someone please tell me if there is a way to change the mipmap
settings for a voodoo2 in gpl (i'm asuming the mipmapping is my
problem)
i'm finding it annoying at watkins glen as the armco sort of fades in
from the middle distance causing me to miss turn-in/braking points.
ive tried changing settings on gpl and different voodoo tweak
software.
PLEASE HELP ME

There is a small utility called 3dfxNoMipmap made by Samuli Takala. I don't
know if this is the fix you are looking for, but some say they can see
details ahead clearer. I have tried it but I prefer the standard mipmapping
in GPL since I run it at high resolution (1280x960).

new mip files for s_armco, i took them out of the folder, and hey
presto, no more magical 'appearing right in front of me armco' (it
does look a bit chunkier now though.
the no mipmap patch was interesting, but i found the extra sfx to be
annoying ;-)
