Never argue with an idiot. He brings you down to his level, then beats you
with experience...

I was testing at Brands Hatch today, in my Formula Ford.
Session 1
After 3 laps I broke the left-rear suspension arm. A bad landing at the
chicane (Dingle Dell, very fast chicane that gets you airborne) was the
cause. I was lucky to catch the car as I was pitched right, onto the
grass and towards the armco...
Session 2
No laps, car not repaired.
Session 3
As a result of my earlier accident I only managed 2 laps to check the
repairs were successful... they weren't. The accident had ripped the
suspension arm from it's mounting on the car making the join useless. A
satisafactory fix looks unlikely for today at least. The team continue
to do everything they can...
Session 4
Half way through the session the car is again fixed and I get some laps
in. The suspension looks like it's about to fail again though, so we
stop for the day (I don't want to have a suspension failure on the
approach to Hawthorne or somewhere and find my self looking at barriers
at +120mph :o). I'm assured the car will be fine for Saturday, the day
of the race, however with just 6 laps in testing, being competitive will
be a tall order :(
Rob
Sorry to hear about the bad luck today, but I wish you nothing but GOOD luck
for Saturday! Thanks for the report! :)
Jon
Atleast you didn't flip 27 times this time....

However
this is only the second race I have done, so I have no hope of winning the
championship even if I could find the money to do the rest of the season...
The Kent championship runs at Lydden, Brands Hatch and another circuit in
France.

Sky Sports only cover the national British FFord
championship and the South African FFord championshp :o)
Forgetting GPL!?! ME!? ...if anything I play GPL more, I get precious little
practice in real life, so making up for it in GPL is a big help!

motorsport programme? If they are you'll have to tell us your number so we
can keep a look out.
Keep it on the black stuff and no barrell rolls!
Cheers
Phil
PS I hope your not forgetting GPL with all this real life racing!
Been there, done that, bud. I do feel your pain. It's always a bitch
to get sidelined with mechanicals. Those track days are too far and
few between to piss them away repairing the car. Hope the next one's
better.

How does the track in real life compare to GPL?
