I'm a little hesitant about installing this patch (I've got everything
working fine). What's the feedback? Is anybody having any problems with it?

Keep a back-up copy of your gpl.exe, so you can always go back to the way
you were. -What have you got to lose?
Nothing spooky is going to happen by forcing a certain function to return
zero. The effects of the patch are limited to GPL. Other programs will not
be affected.
