Well if you must know these things and god only know why. Most people run 1024X768 in 16 bit color. I don't have the exact numbers on hand, if you really want to know ask nicely and give a good reason and I will get them for you. -- Jeff Murchison JR Screamers Racing League www.speakeasy.org/~jmurch/ > On Fri, 16 Jun 2000 14:58:28 +1000, "Troy Rosenberg" > <[email hidden]> wrote: > > >I was wondering if the fantastic chaps who run the gpl ranking site could > >put up details on what screen resolution is the most popular or how many > >people run at what res ect.... > > > > > > > >Troy > > > > > > > > > >

Sure it's possible, but not yet a top priority. I'll take a note of this, though. Cheers, Uwe -- Uwe Schuerkamp http://www.schuerkamp.de/ uwe.schuerkamp at telemedia.de for direct mail (from: is spambox) PGP Fingerprint: 2E 13 20 22 9A 3F 63 7F 67 6F E9 B1 A8 36 A4 61

And whether or not they like to spend money on . . . I can always see it coming :-) SLG (I can see evil marketing plots in everything, I do not know how resolution and brake preference plays into marketing though) Uncle Fester <[email hidden]> wrote:

How about what kind of soft drink people prefer while playing GPL? And whether they use their mouse with their left or right hand? If you can see through my sarcasm, you will see that I simply don't understand why screen resolution matters. Use the highest resolution that your video card can handle at an acceptable framerate. Who cares what everybody else does? TW On Fri, 16 Jun 2000 12:12:13 GMT, Uncle Fester <[email hidden]> wrote:

I was wondering if the fantastic chaps who run the gpl ranking site could put up details on what screen resolution is the most popular or how many people run at what res ect.... Troy

You know it would be interesting to see the force feed back to non force feed back statistics on the list. Or controller preference in general. I would think that this information might be worth something to a certain segiment of the market, that is if it is valid!
