I've bought F12000 recently, and had to install DirectX7. Now in GP500 and NFS high stakes, the player car/bike sound doesn't work. I can hear all other sounds OK but just not my car/bike. I played both these games only a few hrs before intalling directX7 so i'm sure this is the culprit. I think it has also messed up my control panel games controler applet. I can't access it to calibrate my wheel or gamepad, it says "necessary support files not found". Anybody got any ideas as to how to correct this? Thanks in advance Andy -------------------------- www.f1mech.com

Andy, Did you try to upgrade to DX7a at the Microsoft site? As I recall, there were some initial controller and sound issues with DX7 that were corrected with 7a. http://microsoft.com/directx/homeuser/downloads/default.asp -- don New GPL Programs for the Converted Tracks: http://www.ianparker1.freeserve.co.uk/gpl/index.html
