Hi. I've run an Abit BH6 with a Celery 300a@450 for over a year, Ever since adding an AGP V3-2000 all my games freeze at 100 mHz. Everything is fine at 83 mHz. I have all the latest drivers, etc., 230w power supply and suitable air circulation. I have tried underclocking the V3 with Powerstrip... no help. Any ideas? Simon Goodwin

And if cooling and upping CPU core voltage don't do any good, I'd suspect your PC power supply. Kendt Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Sorry if it's an obvious question - but what's your AGP divider setting? For 100Mhz FSB it should be 2/3, not the 1/1 that's default for 66Mhz (and may have remained set since you first installed your Celeron). Was your previous video card PCI? 83Mhz OK makes sense at 1/1, since V3's seem to be able to handle up to 89Mhz AGP speeds (2/3*133FSB). HTH! No, no. Good question... my bad. My AGP is in fact set to 2/3's. S. [email hidden] wrote:

Maybe its a heat problem since the V3s are very hot and just heating up the cpu a little bit. Try taking off the casecover. If it then works try add som extra fans or whatever cooling. Johan N

What is your core voltage set at? I have mine at 2.1 to get stability at 102 mhz fsb. -- Don Burnette Dburn in N3 and Legends ICQ# 74084566 "Johan N" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > In article <[email hidden]>, [email hidden] > says... > > Hi. If you are running the m/b at 100mhz you need to set the agp port to run at 2/3rds speed (eg: 2/3rds of 100 = 66). The agp port does not like being run at 100, which it is running at if the bios setting is set to 1/1 instead of 2/3. Hope this helps.... 8-) *Peter* - http://www.cix.co.uk/~peterpc/home.html

Thank you for all your replies. You were right Kendt. I changed boxes over the weekend a low and behold. I am now running at 100 mHz with no probs. Funny thing is, I went from a 230w PS to a 180w. I gues that'll teach me to buy cheap third-party crap. SImon [email hidden] wrote:

Hi guys, Wonder if someone can give me a tip on this AGP setting in the BIOS stuff I have been reading about on here... I checked mine out yesterday and don't see the 1/1 or 2/3 options you have been mentioning, instead I have an entry in the BIOS which has settings of 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128... what does this refer to and what does it do. Currently set at 64 which is the default. Regards Peter Hooper <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8j7ek8$296$[email hidden]...
