N3 intermittent connect problem

3 posts by 2 people · 26 Jun 2000 - 27 Jun 2000

I have had N3 for about a week. I have problems sometimes when I play on the Internet. Mostly me and a buddy just play each other, and mostly I host, but we have had the problem both ways. About 1/2 the time we connect with no problem, other times it hangs with the connecting... message, but never connects, and never gives an error... other times you get the handshake failed message. Going completely out of multiplayer to the main menu and re logging on to Won.net helps sometimes but not others. I have also noticed that sometimes I don't get arena messages on the race setup screen, even though I checked the show messages box on the multiplayer screen. This does not seem to affect being able to connect, as my friend was able to connect when there were no messages displayed. Anyone know if this is normal behavior for N3 online, if so anyone know any workarounds? Thanks, Gerald Sent via Deja.com http://www.deja.com/ Before you buy.

Have you downloaded and installed the patch for N3 from papy.com? If not, that would be a good place to start. -- Don Burnette Dburn in N3 and Legends ICQ# 74084566 <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8j7j1e$7gt$[email hidden]... > I have had N3 for about a week. > > I have problems sometimes when I play on the Internet.
