Is this the simplest way to remove the update? I have noticed extreme
changes in the AI behavior, and cannot complete two full laps at Magny-
Cours without being bumped off. Previous to my upgrade, I did not have
a problem as bad as this...
I am not sure what files are contained in the v1.09 .exe file. Can
somebody give me an idea of how to get back to v1.06 specs? Can I just
reinstall v1.06 and ovewrite the files, are does v1.09 contain others
which must be changed?

possibilities. I finally said to hell with it and refuse to run a Quick
Race (in which I usually start third by default) Now I just qualify
first in Grand Prix mode, and get the hell away from Eddie Irvine, who's
been the main "kick-off" culprit all along...

As far as I can tell, you can. I actually went as far as reinstalling
the game on another drive, then applying the patch to see what
happened (in case it overwrote some of the mods). Didn't like it
much, so overwrote the 1.09 with 1.06 and reapplied the no-cd patch.
Everything looks normal.
I have to wonder if the AI changes went back to the original. I
frankly can't tell the difference.
Now, I have to figure out if 1.06 can play with 1.09 online.

Why? Because 1.09 is exactly the same, only this one is official !! Thats
the only difference.

Are you sure it is identical??? I remembered crash FF effects in
1.06. These effects have been removed in 1.09.
