I have the same problem when viewing the replay in the window.
If I show the replays in full-screen then no problem.

Is anybody else having problems with missing graphics in some of the
cockpits with a GeForce 256 and the D3D patch? I just noticed it recently
when I was viewing a replay from various cars.
Specifics - Celeron 450, SDR GeForce 256 (Guillemot), 256mb ram, GPL 1.2
w/D3D patch. I am running a number of altered carshapes (GPLEA
Lotus/Ferrari/Brabham, modified BRM/Cov from someone else - forget who).
The bits that are missing are the in-car dash graphics on the BRM and the
Coventry, and the interior cockpit sides on the Brabham. On the BRM and
Cov, the needles are still present, but not the gauges.
I copied my whole Sierra folder to my Dell laptop, and while the Rage
Mobility chip lacks in performance, the cockpit interiors are all fine.
Anybody see anything similar or know of a fix?
TIA,
Rick

I'm having the same trouble with my V3 2000, but only in the replay window,
at full screen the graphics are complete.

does the problem go away if you move the detail slider to the left a
bit,
or all the way?

I
had it set about 2/3 to the right, but even set all the way
left, the graphics are missing.
Just went back to OpenGL to test, and the problem goes away.
Only seems to exist with D3D - I also tried lowering the
resolution from 1280X1024 to 1024X768 with no effect.
Puzzling, but not really a big deal. I don't drive the cars in
question, and given that the patch is unsupported beta, I can
live with it.
In any case, Grant, many, many thanks for doing the patch in the
first place - given the choice between passable performance in
OpenGL and astonishing performance in D3D with a few glitches,
I'll definitely take the latter :)

Try fiddling with the Mipmap detail level in the D3D settings of your video
card. You get there through Display Properties - Settings tab - Advanced
button - Riva TNT - Additional Properties button - Direct3D settings. Maybe
a little different on your system, I only have a TNT1, 5.22 NVidia reference
drivers.
Alternatively, try changing the value of TossHighestMip in the Direct3D7
section of your core.ini.
Good luck

No problems here, neither in the game nor in the replays.
GeForce 256 (Asus V6600,SGRAM) with Asus drivers 3.75, PIII 733, 128MB
RAM, GPL 1.2 with D3D patch.
I use the Cockpitset by Andrew Olley & Andreas Ritlop.
Good luck

set "tosshighestmip+1" trying to fix another graphical glitch,
and forgot to set it back :^P Duh...............
Anyways, since I have your attention, has anybody else noticed
that the guardrails at the Glen seem to draw noticeably later
with the D3D patch than with OpenGL at the same detail slider
setting? It's particularly noticeable for me entering the
Speed Trap, where it really messed with my turn-in for a while -
I was right on top of them before they drew.
Again, thanks for any help!
Rick
