Just checked out the latest Mpeg of Nascar Heat http://www.simz.net/menu/news.htm
and there is some excellent footage from the cockpit going around Watkins Glen.
Moving POV! Not as extreme as N4, but very close IMO. This may be a pleasant
surprise :)

Wow, I was *very* impressed with the vid. I was going to skip it and wait for
N4, but my compulsive purchasing nature won't be able to resist. Whoever made
this mov just sold a copy that may not have been purchased!
Loved the roar of the V8 too, reminds me of my ex-1970 classic, and boy, hasn't
The Glan changed ;)
Cheers,
Rod.
Check out this review on Heat too...

Looks like Heat is everything N3 should of been, and N4 might be, if not
more... given the extra modes. I'm very anxious to get my hands on both
releases to see how the driving models differ.

I agree, I was stunned by the Video, excellent trees, excellent track
design, excellent textures, excellent sound, subtle POV movement.
Combined with this movie and the multiple previews on
http://www.nascarnet.com/index.asp I can't decide which I'm more
excited for, NH or N4.

Min specs are:
233 Mhz
32 megs RAM
8 meg AGP 3D car
8X CD-ROM
Req specs are:
400 Mhz
64 Megs RAM
16 Meg AGP 3D card
8X CD-ROM
for a 43 car field with all the detail on you will need
600 Mhz
128 Megs RAM
16 Meg AGP 3D card
8X CD-ROM
As an added bonus the minimum install is under a MEG. However, people who
play often will want the full install (~300 Megs) for faster load times.
I noticed that the lighting in and around the car is dynamic, but the shadows
seem to be static. I'm wondering why they would model one without the other...

Yes! Every screenshots are indicating just 16 cars in the field,
so I really worried about that. Initially, I was thinking to skip NH,
but it looks like havving value.
Thanks nice info.
