Hi all,
2 things changed the last 2 days; first is, I begun racing on VROC
(!). Hadn't tried it for a LONG time, because it didn't get through my
firewall, but with the new WinVROC and GPL1.2, it works miraculously!
:)
However, 2nd thing today is I put a Voodoo Banshee instead of my
Voodoo2 in my machine (running W2K), and now I have a strange speedup
most of the time by 2. So time goes twice as fast, frame rate is 2x
lower (18fps), and everything just goes superfast.
I tried the Banshee patch, for the mirror and texture thing (I need
that because the resolution switching goes awfully bad in W2K with the
latest W2K beta 1.02.02 drivers from 3Dfx).
About 1 out of 10 times the program starts up and I get a correct
speed.
I must try it in my Win95 partition; haven't tried the Banshee there
yet, but if anyone knows what is going on, help is much appreciated.
I discovered VROC, but now I can't race there anymore, and that just
after 1 day. It just isn't fair!!!! ;-)
Thanks,
Ruud van Gaal, GPL Rank +53.53
