What good is excellent weather if you don't have visual/tactile feedback, nor the confidence to take the car to the limit? All in all, I agree though.. it's not _that_ bad. The changing weather is a valliant attempt at innovation, let's hope someone can build on it to make a better game. It's just too much like a GP2 add-on for my taste, I'm sorry. But at least the curbs are in the right place most of the time ;-). Also, not every curb is the ame - there are ones that upset the car so much that you lose it almost certainly. But it's a minor flaw indeed.

I am just stating my opinion, and I'm pretty confident others feel the same about it. GP2 was the best modern F1-sim even after the release of F1-2000 (which I still own btw). > As I seemed to recall, you somehow thought you were a real raceq > car driver or something? That is totally laughable. I am not, and I never said that. But I have driven a Formula 3 car on two occasions and have experience in 13hp+ Karts. If I ever did dare to bring in that personal experience in any kind of posting about Racing Simulations, I sincerely apologize. Why can I read your posts anyway ? Thought I had plonked you long ago.
The game delivers exactly what MPS has promised all the way - and boy does it deliver! Give this excellent sim a chance - you won't be able to race on VROC but you've got GPL for that. Everybody who can appreciate a good offline racing experience against the most advanced AI in a racing game yet - don't write it off just because some people apparently expected the second coming. You would miss out on the best racing sim to be released since GPL saw the light of day. Everyone who accuses GP3 of lack of new features : what would you call the revolutionary new weather system ? Has papy done anything that sophisticated before ? Ubi Soft ? Anybody ? Sorry, but the weather in GP3 truly is groundbreaking, innovative stuff that will take its place in the history of racing simulations. I can't see anything bad about the graphics either .. they are absolutely stunning on my Cel500, Voodoo3 3000. cheers, --- Alexander Marx mailo:[email hidden]

We're paying what? $30, $40, $50... for a GP2 weather add-on? Crammond spent four years to create a weather patch? HA! So am I expected to want this game because 1 race is 5 (yeah I'm estimating here) is going to have changeable weather? It's going to require a lot more than that to keep me coming back. As is though, I'll wait until the full version appears and then see what people are saying about it before I decide whether it's worth getting. >I can't see anything bad about the graphics either .. they are absolutely >stunning on my Cel500, Voodoo3 3000. > -- Peter Ives - (AKA Ivington) No person's opinions can be said to be more correct than another's, because each is the sole judge of his or her own experience.

However as I recall at the time, you used that experience as all the proof anyone in their right mind needed as proof that F1 2000 sucked. IMHO you were wrong. And that is what pissed me off so much. The *ONLY* bad thing about F1 2000 that I agree with all of you guys about is the poor performance at the start of GP races. However since I upgraded my CPU to a P3-600 that has not been an issue. > occasions and have experience in 13hp+ Karts. I agree. I am really enjoying it. The weather is cool. It seems a little easy, but I'm not that great of a driver, so it works for me!! Where are you guys getting this 4 year stuff? Wasn't it as little as a year or so ago Crammond denied being involved in a GP3 sim?
