Grand Prix 3 appears in UK shops ahead of release date

Nigel Swan reported buying GP3 at WHSmith in Farnborough for 29.99 pounds two days before the official 28 July release, and said the warez build appeared to be the gold version. Others reported it on shelves in Toronto. The thread included questions about 3-axis wheel support and Blade Runner jokes.

Got it in WHSmith (Farnborough Hampshire) today for 29.99. Went from there to EB and told them. They were not happy. :) Have been playing the warez since Sunday and the "real thing" for the last hour. Although it is too early to be certain, I would say that the warez is the Gold version. If not it is bloody close. Feel free to ask questions. -- Nigel Swan

Whoopee Dooo... for one the warez version has been around for over a week and since it's the final version many of us have already had it for that long, so the games old news to us, as for the official retail version, it was on store shelves in Toronto as of Tuesday afternoon. I saw it in Compucentre and at Costco (formerly known as Price Club) but i'm sticking with the warez version unless i hear that the retail version has improved massively over the warez one, which i doubt, i wouldn't pay for what i've seen with the warez version.
