Because of my own time constraints, most of my GPL tiime is off-line, but I love the converted tracks. My only problem being that I often cannot choose which track to run on, there are so many options<g>. Some of the converted tracks are not as nice graphically, but are every bit as challanging as the original circuits. Mid-Ohio is a brilliant GPL track as are Road America, Sears Point and Portland, but I would have paid double just for the Riverside conversion. -- don New GPL Programs for the Converted Tracks: http://www.ianparker1.freeserve.co.uk/gpl/index.html http://www2.tpg.com.au/users/brucek/hmrc/index.htm

I was hosting the new tracks at one time. There were very few drivers who wanted them. The races usually went empty. Although now that I've setup my server again, there are a couple of converted tracks in the rotation... Hi! I just downloaded the demo track converter from The Pits and ran out and bought ICR2. I had fun running the two tracks available. But no one is hosting these tracks (or others) on VROC. Is there any body racing them online? If not, why get the (relatively pricy) whole track converter? Zen

My opinion of it is that the modern CART tracks just don't lend themselves well to non-aero racecars. I spent $20 on the full convertor, but now I find that I never race them at all. Some are better than others, but none of them are really all that much fun (for me, that is). -- ----------------------------------- Morgan Vincent Wooten GPLRank: +28.32 mailto:[email hidden] http://members.tripod.com/~morganv/ ----------------------------------- Zen <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:lXpg5.18702$[email hidden]... > Hi! > > I just downloaded the demo track converter from The Pits and ran out and > bought ICR2. Our online league uses them. In fact, this Sunday we're running Pikes Peek.

Did you guys pay 15 pounds for it? That's about 40 Canadian dollars. In comparison, I paid 60$ for GPL when it came out. Zen "Don Scurlock" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8F80938FBdscurlock@news...

I paid about twice as much for the converter as I did for GPL, both sound investments. Zen wrote ... > Did you guys pay 15 pounds for it? That's about 40 Canadian dollars. In > comparison, I paid 60$ for GPL when it came out. >

I paid about twice as much money for GPL. And I paid about 20 times that money for computer upgrades for GPL :) 15 pounds looks like a lot of money for a converter, but it's more than worth the money. Best money I ever spent! As soon as GPLEA comes out with their 1967 Indy car set I'm doing a full season. buzard "Don Jennings" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8nhg2f$8mskq$[email hidden]...
