Performance? Any troubles? Does everything work fine?
Yep, I've got it running on a G400 on an Athlon 650 - 1280x1024 - no bother
at all.
I like the graphics; the only problem I've had is that in a wet race, things
slow down quite a lot, so you really need to turn the resolution down to
compensate.
For me, the GP3 / GPL debate is moot - GP3 worked first time, GPL doesn't
work reliably (at all) on any machine (I've got about 3 or 4 here), and the
graphics on any Matrox card are hopeless. Seems like GPL needs a machine
specially built for it...... (It'd almost be worth it to be able to drive
the 'ring tho').

I have G400 DH (not max), in P3 550, 128Mb RAM, GP3 does Auto-Test
and recommened 1280 x 1024 with Full everything, runs smooth at this
but overalll GP3 graphics are V.Poor (IMHO) for a modern 3D Accel

You need the v6 beta drivers (I had this problem too)
Agree 1000%,
GPL was ok for me with previous setup (which was a hybrid driver
pack from PKY) but with the v6 beta drivers I have :
- A 10-15% increase in my 3DMark2000 marks (1024x768x16)
- GPL runs even smoother and NEVER crashes (used to before
about 1 in 6 times). Every game on my system has improved.
