Right well, The good ol' GPL barrier has been hit again.
I could probably improve easily on a few tracks as I've just run a few quick
rounds on them just to post to GPL rank but on others I'm stuck.
Monza and Kyalami re he ones I focusing on, I can do 1.29's and consistent
1.30's at Monza, and 1.22's with more consistent 1.24's at Kyalami. I;m way
off, any hints at all. I've watched replays and all that but i just can't
understand how some people make the car react in the way they do.
I'm sure all you negative GPL Rank people have plenty tricks up your sleeve.

Go to http://lightsoutracing.simplenet.com/ .
Study the excellent trackguides, and especially read the 'driving
tactics'.

Really Eldred, those guides are excellent... they helped me a lot.
Anyway, I still didn't receive your replays, mail them if you're still
interested...

Eldred,
I think you are talking first about the Light Out guides.
I've read 2 or 3 of the guides and tried to follow the advice but
v.v.v. difficult in less you have a lot of patience (I don't) plus
if they don;t suite your style of driving you'll be trying to do
things that just don't feel right. I think if you just read them,
make note of one corner that you feel or know you are
not getting quite right and try that method they would
maybe work for you.
HOWEVER, the Ferrari setups I find are V. Good IMO.
Obviously they may just suite me. After driving the Lotus
only at Nurburg "struggling" to get around I ran the
Ferrari and it felt much more contollable (although a
touch slower in parts). I've only really done 2 flying laps
and the 2nd was my new PB of 8:41 (prev 8:44 in Lotus)
and that was a little tentative. Also Good at Monaco, knocked
over a second off PB and can get through the chicane more
often than not flat in 5th, also knocked a second off Mosport
without much bother.
RH (Lights Out) tends to spend more time in higher gears than
most (setups configured accordingly) so that might take a
little getting used to.
I see your PBs at Monaco are in Ferrari as is, try the RH setup and
see how you go, also just try the ring and see what you think.
Also, try Zandvoort, I did find the guide useful for the first couple
of turns which I wasn't taking very well.
