New GPL Programs for the Converted Tracks:

I hooked an LFF up to my computer for the
first time last night, and am very impressed.
All of them I've tried before were apparently
never set up correctly. It works well in GP3,
GPL, and F12K.
The pedals really aren't bothering me much
at all, either, but they aren't the best.

The replacement wheel should be out soon - maybe wait and see, like I am
(better pedals allegedly)

the FF-type? if you can cope with the pedals: yep. I did not like them
very much, so I wired a set of CH non-pro pedals to my LWFF. my
favorite! (and alison hine's too ;-)

Should I jump on this for 58.00$ ?
Sounds like a plan, as I hate to part with my CH pedals! (yes- FF)
I can't wait!
;)

Man, I sure would. I think I'm the one that found that deal
originally. Been out of work the past four months and don't have the
discretionary capital to jump on it or I sure would.
I've seen one or two comments about the factory refurb'd LWFFs
actually being better than the new ones because they've been carefully
gone through by technicians, not minimum wage assemblers. With a
little background in this field, I agree with them.

I agree Brett. I have had my old T2 refurbished by Thrustmaster and it
worked better and lasted longer than when the unit first came out of the
box. Then I bought a refurb'd LWFF and after a year of near daily use in
TPTCC, N3, GPL, & SCGT I haven't worn it out yet. I do think the assembly
line
products "can" be prone to a more sloppy construction and so become less
reliable sooner. Ya just gotta learn to tolerate the pedals or swap'em out.

I don't think my ball bearing kit will fit into the new Logi.
Have to buy it to try and modify.
Have to convince my wife :-(
Jens
BTW The BB-kit surely only fits into the actual wheel.
BTW2: I heard (could be wrong) that the new Logi is a cheaper version, so I
don't expect big improvements.
