That's how they named the new engine. It stands for Reusable Vehicle Engine...aha. The game appears to come with unbelievable, accurate tracks. They are based on 360 degrees camara shots of every centimeter of a driveably track, together with centimeter-precise measurements of these tracks, done with GP , making every dip, bump, banking, height of cerb stones or what ever there is on the track come alive in the game. That's what they say. Completed with 32-bits accurate graphics (what does it mean for the system requirements), I wonder what they did with the physics and the bugs in the old engines, rage 1 and rage 2. Because I do not trust those Sim programmers anymore since they promised GP3 would have a totally new engine, but in real life it came with identical bugs and much-hated features of GP2. But simply judging the screen shots in hi res, I'll wait until November. Then I will listen to those who could not wait to buy it, and than Christmass will come soon enough to get myself a legal copy...If it's good enough for me, that is. scrcs Everyone drives a sim his or her own way, with his or her own config. Using a wheel, a keyboard, or whatever controller makes a lot of difference what you get out of the game. When judging the game everyone should report his complete config + game setup.

GPS is fine enough, although don't believe that 1 cm accuracy. GPS readings _may_ be way off that. Remember C:PR that also promised superaccurate GPS measured tracks, resulting in a fantasy chicane at Cleveland and some narrow superspeedways. > with 32-bits accurate graphics (what does it mean for the system > requirements), I wonder what they did with the physics and the bugs in the > old engines, rage 1 and rage 2. GC never promised a totally new engine. The identical bugs is not bugs but bad system design. > But simply judging the screen shots in hi res, I'll wait until November. > Then I will listen to those who could not wait to buy it, and than > Christmass will come soon enough to get myself a legal copy...If it's good > enough for me, that is. Yep, I'm not going to hold my breath for this one. -- Olav K. Malmin remove spam when replying
