You must set the detail level to automatic in the advanced graphics section and then you can set the detail level. Then set it to what you want and rest the graphics to manual to set them up yourself.... Easy, eh?

Well the detail level can be triggered when checking the auto detail under advanced options... The cockpit is still a mystery! -- Oli BeoRocket Racing http://www.beorocket.co.yu/ "Stephen Ferguson" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:3991609a$[email hidden]... > > "Slick" <[email hidden]> wrote in message > news:8mrfas$29q$[email hidden]... > > How do you turn it of mine is grayed out all the time > > Same for the automatic detail level... > > > > What's really weird is there is no consistent pattern to when you can turn > it on or off. Simply enough? Now, If you want to set the detail slider in the graphics menu, go to the advanced section and make sure you click automatic and not manual. Then set the slider. Next return to the advanced menu and click manual once more and turn on what ever details you want. Thats how to get the best out of the graphics. Try doing it step by step while reading this, might work better than trying to remember it all....it gets a little confusing:-)

I still can't uncheck the virtual cockpit! -- Oli BeoRocket Racing http://www.beorocket.co.yu/ "GraDee" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8ms42k$6qp$[email hidden]... > You must be in hardware mode for the virtual cockpit to work. > You must set the detail level to automatic in the advanced graphics section > and then you can set the detail level. Funny, I thought that you could turn the virtual cockpit off thus hopefully resulting in better frame rate... -- Oli BeoRocket Racing http://www.beorocket.co.yu/ "GraDee" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:8msk6i$d1m$[email hidden]... > > R A Wright <[email hidden]> wrote in message > news:#68Yc9iAAHA.77@cpmsnbbsa08... > > emm just pass that one by me again > > Ok, I'll try to simply it a bit more:-) > > If you want to have a "virtual" cockpit, meaning you can chance the "angle" > of the cockpit you might be running in Hardware mode. Leave the cockpit angle at 100% (the default angle) as changing it increases cpu overhead... 8-) *Peter* - http://www.cix.co.uk/~peterpc/home.html
