Please answer the following questions concerning GP3. Thankyou!! Is the to run fastest you must set Rear Wing = 1 deg at every track problem fixed?? This was my major beef with GP2. Is the virtual cockpit done well? Does it really give the felling of motion? I have a PII 400mhz / Voodoo2. Would it run under 100% PO @ most tracks with the res @ 640x480?? Are the gfx as bad as some people have said? I have seen shots of Monaco and Spa in rain and they look great to me.

Ok I can see that most of us do have PO under 100 most of the times but do you have fluid frame rates? I know I don't, using the fps utility does help (once you find the right fps balance for you) but only when I'm alone on the track while in race I get so much slo-mo that its ridiculous! Now if I set the graphics in such way to eliminate this ( still with some slo-mo) the game looks like crap!? I can understand all this at the start of the race, but on lap 10 with no one around down the hill at Spa doing 280 with the sensation like I was maxing 90!! that's strange! Now, I'm ok with it to be a "patched version" of GP2 I don't mind the : -same replay routine -lack of radio communication -lack of flags and pace car -98 Season and tracks -same setups for all cars (no tire data) -questionable physics -no Net play ..ect But with all this in mind the hardware (or is at all hardware related) demand for smooth gameplay is again ridiculous. I don't think the game calculates the physics and all the stuff GPL does along with sweet eye candy to cause this! And how can it be possible that the software and hardware mode is almost the same? In my experience so far with various games the hardware acceleration is at least 2-3 times faster than software!? Please don't take this post as a anti GP3 one, I just want to see other peoples thoughts about it and to hopefully discover that I did something wrong regarding the graphic setup of the game... I have a Celeron II 700 128mb GeForce 32 sdr (asus V6600 deluxe) and the detonator 5.22. Would it run under 100% PO @ most tracks > with the res @ 640x480??It doesn't run very well, if at all, on the 8M Voodoo2. It runs OK on a 12M Voodoo2 but I believe the graphics are not accelerated - it runs just as fast in software 3D mode. I have to turn the graphics options down on my Celeron 450 to PO under 100% using software 3D. So it will run, but you won't get the best out of the game. It's still a lot of fun though, Tony Whitley

I think we're here to discuss fictional racing issues not grammar, besides as you can see that extra tutoring didn't help... but thanks for the offer anyway ... If this ain't clear would you like me to try in some other tongue? -- Oli BeoRocket Racing http://www.beorocket.co.yu/ "Ken Barrow" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > On Sun, 13 Aug 2000 10:04:51 +0200, "Slick" <[email hidden]> > wrote: > > >Ken are you a English teacher? > > > Why ?? Well, your talking in much better English and its easy to understand, but hey, what did that sentence of yours mean, I quote ; "My bad I wanted this as a new post no reply..." any explanation will do ...
