Re: GP3 mirrors wrong and not full screen V2 SLI?

Voodoo card owners need to set the alt mirrors switch, IMO. Have you tried also setting the sli switch to 1 and forcing the low res textures in the cards.txt file? -Then again, there's been a lot of similar complaints from Diamond V2 owners. V2 support in GP3 seems marginal to say the least. I got it working (2x Creative 3D Blaster V2 12Mb SLI) and it looks slightly better, but it doesn't move any faster. Using DX7.0a and latest reference drivers from 3Dfx, BTW. Jan. =---- Lutrell wrote... > I just got GP3 and <snip>

I just got GP3 and tried software mode it looks good until you get close to walls(look very blocky) and Manaco is very slow PO and not playable. The mirrors also look good and the view uses the full screen in software mode. When I try hardware mode it looks good and the walls look good up close, but it does not use full screen and the only thing I can see in the mirrors is another image of the steering wheel. If I can just get the Mirrors to work in hardware mode then I will live with the smaller view because it runs smooth. I tried the settings in the card.txt file with altmirrors= 1 and also 0 but still the mirrors dont work. Anyone have same problem or know how to fix? My system is: P3 500 on an ASUS P2B-S, 256MB PC100 W98, Direct X 7.0 Monster 3D 12MB V2's in SLI, M3d driver 207 Matrox Millenium primary card SBL Thanks' Lutrell

What happens when you go 800x600 on your Matrox? I got my mirrors working! I dont know what I did to get them to work. I just started up GP3 and went straight to the graphics settings and turned off all mirror textures, set to low outside textures and did the test and the mirrors worked. I then turned on the textures one by one to see what makes them not work but I cant get them to go bad again. ? I guess restarting the PC might have done something. Also last time I played GP3 I was trying the altmirrors setting in card.txt at 1 and it did not seem to make a difference so I just deleted the line so maybe the default setting was better? I still wish I could get it to use the full screen as in software mode, but it runs great in hardware and the walls look detailed upclose at Monaco with the PO at the start is 100-125 and 70-83 away from other cars with the following settings: M3D V2 12MB (SLI) at 800x600 Textures- all on except smoke Plot in mirrors- track only textures in mirrors-none Reduced texture detail(hardware 3d)-on (big PO hit) cockpit angle- 100% Trackside objects-all Frame rate selected-16.0 also in the M3D properties settings I have selected: Dont sync buffer swap to monitor refresh Force trilinear texture filtering Force Anti-Alaising Oh and BTW the Matrox card cant be selected in GP3 as its greyed out. I think it does not have enough memory. Lutrell Regular Racer wrote in message ...
