Not used to metric measurements I hope? -600mm is nearly 2 feet Trevor. I'll assume you meant 60mm (6cm or 2 3/8 inches). Thanks for the info on the mod, I can actually picture how to do this one (as opposed to the one with the doorstop ;-)). I posted recently stating that I was having trouble adjusting to my new wheel after switching from a TM with no pedals. Lack of "feel" in the brakes was my problem. I have the latest (I think) LWFF with black pedal-box and stronger spring. I've made the following simple mod which, so far, has been very successful. 1. Drill 6mm hole in brake pedal stem - conveniently there are 4 "collars" on the pedal, use No.2. from the top. 2. Insert a 6mm set screw (i.e. a bolt threaded all the way down) about 600mm long and fix it in place with a nut. The extending shank of the bolt should be on the throttle pedal side. 3. Insert a standard squash ball (about 5 ukp for a pack of 3) under the screw. It should be held in place by the slight compression of the ball. This arrangement seems to work fine for me but there are one or two improvement which could be tried i.e. use of a piece of studding and 2 nuts so that it could extend both sides of the pedal and allow the use of 2 squash balls for more even pressure. Use of a plastic sleeve to cover the thread. Possible addition of vertical pins or similar to locate ball and keep it in place. No doubt plenty of people have come up with similar ideas but I thought this might be helpful. -- Trevor Nb Lady Elgar - Grand Union Canal

You're supposed to "trim" a doorstop and insert it in the spring.... can't see myself doing it either. <g> Jan. =--- rik anthrax wrote... > Doorstop?? Oh I can't imagine that either! > Seriously though I might try this one.

There are pictures of a doorstop in the spring available on my webpage. The one I used is a 13mm diameter (1/2" for the imperial guys) Jens On Thu, 10 Aug 2000 20:41:18 GMT, "rik anthrax" <[email hidden]> wrote:
