I just received my MS FFSW (USB port) today and i have some problems:
- The wheel installation works fine because in the Windows Microsoft Wheel
Manager,
all the buttons, effects and shifters works perfectly.
- In F1 2000, the wheel works good but i have no FF effects.
- in GP3, i load a FFSW configuration file that i found on the Net. But after
that, i want to
return to the main screen, but i MUST calibrate the axis in a screen. First, it
tells me to turn
to the left and press fire. Ok, but even if i turn the wheel to the left,
nothing happens.
It's like if my wheel wasn't plugged on my PC, but it was, because the wheel
works with F1 2000.
- I saw somewhere that the FFSW must be on the port ID n1. But i have too a
gamepad and the FFSW
is named as port ID n2. Do i have to change the ID ??
- If some of you can send to me your "configuration files" for my games, i would
appreciate (because i am not
yet very competent about all the options like deadzone, centre, steering,
etc........
Here are my games:
GP3, F1 2000, GPL, Toca2, FWGP, MGPRS2, Rally 2000, SCGT, Driver.
Thank you.

I had a similar problem with the MSFF file for GP3. But I managed to solve
it. The problem was that *every* button was programmed to a keyboard
combination in the profile file. So there was no way to hit the fire
button.
Just remove one of the programmable action settings for 1 of the 8
buttons. Then this button should work as a "fire" button.
My setting is this:
Button: Name: Programmable action:
1 Gap G
2 Pit Enter
3 Occupancy O
4 Button X (blank, i.e. not programmed)
5 Go to pits SHIFT + Q
6 Driver name N
7 Change down SHIFT
8 Change up Space
Button 4 (the X button) should work as the fire button.
Make sure the CON file you load has set Shift and Space
for change up and change down.
With this setup and the CON file from the Internet I can
play GP3 with Force Feedback (the Rawforce patch
removed the Force feedback bug too). I can use the
buttons behind the wheel to change up and change down
too.
The clue is to make sure not every button is programmed
to a keyboard setting.
