force_feedback_damping = 110.000000 ; force feedback damping
coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.007000 ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 250.000000 ; steering torque in N*in giving
max device force
my control panel settings are overall device gain...100%
spring gain...... 10%
damper gain 51%
default
spring..............0% 'always on' unchecked..
hope this helps!! jv

I can't seem to find a setup for my Act Labs wheel that feels right.
The number of possible settings is making my head spin, not to mention
my Ferrari ;)...
Anyone want to share thier core.ini and control panel settings? Don't
worry - nobody's GPLRank is at risk.
Thanks very much in advance!

Before you buy.
You really should take out the spring value (control panel). GPL doesn't use
that value to anything and maybe lower the damping, I think...
On my Ferrari wheel I have set the force 100% and zeros on else, works
great, then again it is a different wheel...

These are mine, taken pretty much as is from GPL Foolishness
[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1
force_feedback_latency = 0.000005
force_feedback_damping = 093.000000
max_steering_torque = 75.000000
my control panel settings are :
overall device gain... 80% - 100%
spring gain...... 100%
damper gain 100%
default spring.............. 0% 'always on' unchecked..
I turned it down from 100% to 80% as my arms where getting tired
and wrists a bit sore.
I've not really played around with altering the spring and damper
gain so they may improve matters, still pretty happy with my setup
though, the key is to get the latency right although I feel it does
vary depending on whats happening (i.e. slow sharp turn, fast long
turn).

PS. Tracks like Mosport and the Ring are good for getting the right
feel as they provide a lot of feedback.

Core ini. settings
[ Joy ]
allow_force_feedback = 1 ; Use FF if device has it
force_feedback_damping = 80.000000 ; force feedback damping
coefficient
force_feedback_latency = 0.000000 ; force feedback latency (secs)
max_steering_torque = 75.000000 ; steering torque in N*in giving max
device force
Control panel settings
overall device gain 90-100%
Spring gain 100%
Damper gain 25-35%
default spring gain 0%
GPL in game settings
full linear (slider full left)
13:1 or 14:1 steering ratio
Just yesterday I tried to change the damper settings in the gpl core.ini so
I could keep the control panel setting at 100%. However I couldn't get the
same feel doing that. The forces felt about the same on the track, but when
I ran it off the track, I noticed I couldn't feel the bumps and curbs as
much.
