I just saw a "game" called "Sprint Car Racing" on the shelves at
CompUSA. This is definitely NOT the follow-on to Dirt Track Racing by
Ratbag. In fact, this one doesn't even look like a decent arcade game.
Screen shots on game boxes usually look better than the game itself,
but these screen shots are downright embarassing!
The thing that seems to me to be the real ripoff, however, is that the
front of the box looks very similar to Dirt Track Racing -- the "font"
used for the title of the game is awfully close. It had me fooled for a
second -- I picked it right up after it caught my eye, but after a
closer look I tossed it back. There's no doubt in my mind that they
were trying to cash in on DTR's succes.
