I have noticed that GP3 has become the dominant sim topic in this group
anymore, naysayers as well as those who like the game are very much into it.

It should be dominant because it's the newest F1 sim around and a damn
good one IMO. Sure the F1 2K is quite good but Gp3 is by a couple of
notches the better sim, again IMHO. But in the long run there is one sim
that will continue to hold a grip on this NG and that sim is of corse
GPL. And for the last time...do not try to compare the physics engines of
Gp3 and Gpl, they are not comparable. Both are good...actually.
Just my thoughts though.
