My new Logitech was delivered today<g>. I've had one since 1998 which is
still working fine, but they're so cheap on the net now I picked one up as a
backup:

Thanks to Rik for the link<vbg>. This is one of the factory refurbished
models built in China. The steering seems to have a grainy or notchy feel
but once in a game I don't notice it. The forces feel slightly stronger and
the shifters feel even better than my old wheel, there is now a pronounced
"click" when changing gears that is not present in my older model.
It works well in GP3, the forces could be stronger, but that's not the
wheels fault. The problem I had was that the game wouldn't see my pedals. I
had to download the no-cd patch to get them to work, but once in the game
it's excellent, smooth as can be with no deadzone to speak of.
Wheels are very personal items, some here have had very good luck with the
Microsoft wheels, others swear by the Act-Labs wheel and shifter combination
and then there is the whole non-force feedback issue<g>. Try out as many as
you can before you buy.

Cut down on the cafeine Marco.... your article headers give me a headache.
You do not have to use capitals and exclamation marks to ask a question.
The LWFF works fine with GP3. You will need to set it to "Pedals reported as
... combined (single axis)" for the time being while Hasbro (reportedly)
work on a patch to allow use of seperate axis.

My question is should I purchase the logictec : Formula Force wheel, it is
by far the most attractive wheel they had availible, what you you recomend.
Is it hard to calaberate a wheel for the game.
Thank you
marco
I feel like I must be crazy. My LWFF has a nasty dead FF zone in the
center and nasty FF latency. It works great in GPL though. It _works_
fine in GP3 but if you've experienced it in GPL you really notice the
shortcomings. That said, a number of other people seem very happy with
it. I should add that I'm pretty picky and control is of paramount
importance to me (I never played racing games for more than ten minutes
before I got a wheel because I couldn't stand it). I was so pissed at
my LWFF in GP3 that I went through the trouble of setting up my ACT
FORCE RS-couldn't get it to recognize paddles or buttons so it was back
to LWFF--which I am begrudgingly getting used to.
