Get it right Kevin Ed never said Nascar Heat will be locked at 8, it will
have 8 day of release atleast and possibly more and more going in a later
patch.

I've got a really good feeling about this one.
Never seen such wonderful graphics - if gameplay matches it, then we're in
for a treat.
not long to wait now
I guess you have no interest in multiplayer

Ed Martin has stated that there will multiplayer support
for a minimum of 8. But the most recent builds seem to indicate
much better! :-)
The nay sayers may be pleasantly surprised!

No you are absolutely, wrong! They have been working hard
on this aspect of the game all along but didn't want to get people
hopes up and then not be able to deliver. The numbers able to play
and quality are very much going to be hardware and bandwidth
dependant. If everyone one is on 56k I have no idea how many
will be able to play online. But if you are on a lan things may be
very good indeed.
I might suggest you wait for the games release before trashing it
because one aspect albeit an important one might not reflect the
opinion you want to hear.
I also strongly suspect Hasbro/MGI will continue to explore
ways to make the game even better after its release. They have
indicated they will be putting up race servers and I doubt they
will be looking to host 8 player races!
I would rather a Producer under estimate their MP capability
and then come out with something much better, than one telling us
it will support 43 with no disclaimers and giving us false hope.

NOT!
Crammond is in the dark ages of sims still. Multiplayer is the present and
future. I only really buy racing games if they have good multiplayer.
Nascar3 and GPL have spoiled me so if a new game doesn't come close to them
than it stays at the store.

No multiplayer in Nascar Heat then?
Andre
Did you try N3 multiplayer game?
There are many warping drivers. The warping and feeling of
one of large number make almost all players to abandon their
responsibility. Everyone easily mess and give up their race, so
you can more easily win the race if you could survive. gee. =(
That mood dominate GPL VROC too.
So I think 8 players may be enough to makeup responsibility.

What version of Nascar3 and GPL have you been playing????????? Or (yes I
know I shouldn't start a sentence with or) what modem do YOU have????? I
race 19 people over the internet all the time on VROC with little or no warp
and race up to 30 with little or no warp on Nascar3. Granted I have a cable
modem but at least it's possible with a good connection. Trying to blaim the
problem on people who are immature and don't finnish a race is ludicrus. Get
a real connection and enjoy online racing.

I always did my best to be a considerate, smart driver on TEN. Most of the
time, I succeeded. Sometimes I didn't. Everyone has their moments :)
But, on WON with N3, especially with all the nutcases at Talladega, about
2/3 of the way through a race (if you make it that far) if you aren't
careful you will tend to take on the mentality of the rest of the field you
are racing with.
On TEN, I would rather have just let up and finished undamaged. On N3/WON,
I just don't get that feeling.
I believe with 100% conviction that the ONLY WAY this will ever change with
ANY on-line racing scernio is if there is 100% accountability, and that
means a full credentials/skill tracking/ranking system that EVERYONE is
bound to and applies to every race run. Without exception.
This is what made TEN great. No online racing system will ever be truly
great without it. Not even one that has zero warp factor. The human factor
has to be 'managed'.
I would gladly go back to paying $20 a month for system like TEN.

Well, it is sometimes, but most of the time
Warp is simply the excuse, not the reality.
Everytime I see someone type "Sorry, Warp" I want to yell BULLSHIT!
