They run road courses also, Sears Point, Watkins Glen and one in Japan. Lot
of fun to attend the races in person. Cold beer, half naked women and lots
of squirrel juice to consume. But really, it grows on you quickly.

I don't know a thing about Nascar because i'm from Sweden and we just
don't know much about it. Is it driven in US only and on ovals only?
Is the cars something like European touringcars?

I would assume "beer".... could be "moonshine" (i.e. homemade liquor) too.

Nowhere near being stock. Two road courses for the top division, Winston Cup,
each year. All others are ovals. US only except the Winston West division, I
believe. They have a race in Japan each year. Very physical racing, like
Touring Cars, and much maligned by folks outside the US who don't give it an
open mind. BTW, I love NASCAR, Touring Cars, F1, CART, even a little horse
racing! :) Racing's racing and it's all fun.

I beg to differ. There are two oval tracks in Australia, one flat and
one super speedway tri oval style. We race US sourced Nascars,
Auscars, which are derived from local Ford and GM products plus other
classes. If you really want a challenging track for Nascar, they have
run at Bathurst as a support category one more than one occasion. How
about Bathurst for Nascar Heat!

Spoken like a man after my own heart.
Some say 'F1 is boring, no overtaking'. They are missing all the
subtleties of different pit strategies, team-mate vs team-mate
battles, etc
Some say 'Nascar is boring, all ovals'. They are missing out on stuff
like, which line around that oval is slightly faster, who is pitting
on the back-straight etc.
Motor racing is great, period. I will watch Moto-X, f1, cart,
Superbikes, Rally, local short-track stuff, the lot. (Well, alright, I
DO find drag-racing a touch tedious, unless I'm actually there, and
can smell the tyre smoke, etc)
