I was reading today about somebody who was actually racing with the F3 car, but
when I try to go into a race, I always am forced into the F1 car.
Is there a way to do that offline since I don't have any access to the WinVROC
program since their site is down? (Would anyone be willing to send me the
install program?)
Thanks in advance

Bummer about Vroc.Net being off-line. I wish some somebody would
mirror that install... Love to know what's up with them, too.
Create a separate Player for F1, F2, and F3. Mine are simply Brett
Cammack, Brett Cammack F2 and Brett Cammack F3. This gives you a
separate subdirectory for each under the Players. For your F2 player,
open the Player.Ini file in that subdir with Notepad and page down
until you find the section marked "[ Personal Information ]". You
will see a line that says "driverRating=x" where the x=3. (3=F1)
Change that to a 2 and you will race F2s. Change it to 1 and you will
race F3s.
It's good to keep separate players for each Formula because the AI
drivers key off your best lap times for how good they drive, so if you
go rip some killer F1 laps somewhere in Training and then jump into an
F2 or F3 race, the AI drivers will wax your fanny bigtime!!! <g>
When you're racing on VROC, it's just a choice from a dropdown list
when you go to Join a race...

Its pretty simple to do. Create a new driver, lets say its Lehfam_F3.
This will create a new folder under /gpl/players called Lehfam_F3 or
similar. In that folder is a player.ini file. Open it with notepad,
scroll down to the [Personal Information] header and make
"driverRating = 1" (instead of 3, which is for F1 cars). Do the same
thing for an F2 driver and you can race them also... I believe thats
all there was to it, but please kick in if I missed something. Of
course each new driver will have its own /setups folder with all
tracks which is where the F3 setups you download will go...
I just broke 4:30 at Solitude in an F3 and it felt pretty good! Of
couse I also broke my suspension and limped in for a 6th place finish
but WTH!
Enjoy!
