You live on a really steep hill?

Ed,
I fully understand _why_ the cars drift to the left in Nascar Heat (stagger,
springs, etc...), and surely appreciate the attention to detail presented in
the Physics of Nascar Heat.
However, this is one point of realism that I could do without :)
I find it annoying and I think it's going to add to the number of incidents
presented, especially in multiplayer racing.
An option to turn off this option in the Physics would be greatly
appreciated :)
Thanks!
-Larry
after a while, you get used to it, and its no longer a problem

It is. Play using the normal mode.

Nos
Then why is my left hand dragging on the ground when I walk?

I would like to see this treated more like a steering option.
I don't want to have to resort completely to "no-wrecks-allowed" mode :)

CPR did this three years ago. I don't think Heat would want to go back in
time and drop this type of accuracy.

you guys certainly seem to be taking the right attitude in developing this
sim.... thanks!
p.s.- loved the demo... gotta go try the hardcore mode i just heard about
here....

It's certainly something that can be "fixed" with setups, though, and I'm
sure there will be TONS of setups out there when this puppy ships.
Remember, this happens in Expert & Hardcore modes - the simulation side of
NASCAR Heat. That's where it's supposed to happen. :-)

Doncha just love working with a group like ours Ed? We yell and SCREAM
that we WANT realism...we want physics, we want want want...but.
NOW we WANT to be able to turn all those things off!
Damn fine effort guys....keep it up....and as we do with all our postings
to
the Papy crew....
"We NEED an Updated CART sim!"

If you were to remove the car wanting to veer left on straights, then
you'd certainly expect that the car would likely understeer more when
taking a turn?
If you can do without it, then either set your car up that stops it from
veering left (but don't expect to turn your laps as fast) or use normal
mode? I think this makes the physics a tad more forgiving when barreling
down the straights?
Cheers,
Rod.
