No, he just didn't post your oppinion! If he'd said
that GPL has silly physics, THAT would have been stupid.
Know what, I can't waste my time with GPL anymore, as I'm
wasting it with GP3. ;)

I've played the actual demo some times, and it's fun.
But there some things left to do, hope they spend some more time for
improvements. And the same people did NICE2, so I will not buy mbtr
directly when it's released, I'll wait until the first patches.

It's completly different, maybe it's a little bit similar to NFS PU.
And MBTR will not include Solitude :-)

There is no way you can "waste" time with GPL. It's the definitive simracing
experience on a PC at the moment.
That said, after nearly two years of solid GPL it's time for a diversion.
MBTR looks set to be very good, likewise Nascar Heat, but they're not out
yet. Meanwhile you can practise your skills on GPL to hit the ground running
when either of the above ship.
BTW: read you guys had a good weekend. Congrats.
Jan.

Perfect flame bate with some of the obsessed GPL'ers in this group. But, it is
quite true that MBTR is a far more fun game than GPL IMHO. Greatly superior
feel and graphics. GPL is pretty boring by comparison unless you are playing
against another person.

Your post was really intelligent until that stupid remark.

Hello,
Just came back from Finland for the 6th race in the championship.
I had a long chat with Markus Oestreich abou the game, he has spent 5 hours
driving the game to improve the general feel (the firt test drive was done
by Ellen LOHR) and the next version of the demo should have a more
"realistic" feel than this one.
The main problem is in the demo that the rear grip is nowhere near reality,
too little on acceleration and too much on braking, that will change.
I would like to point out that it is very seldom that a top driver in a
category is directly involved in the making of such a game and that it
should make the game very close to the real thing.
So don't waste your time with GPL and wait for MBTR....should be out in
october for the last race of the season in Jarama....
Sorry but if people don't like GPL because they don't have anything with the
'67 season. I hate truck racing. Racing with a speed limiter in things that
weren't build to race.

It's not possible to waste your time with GPL. It's the only auto
racing simulation. The rest are just games!
Do you work for MBTR?

I made bet with a friend, syaing that if I ever criticized GPL aven in very
small at the very end of the text i would get immediatly "flamed".....
Well, I've won a meal
SO now let's have more fun and change GPL by GP3 in my prevuous post
Being serious again Thanks Jan for the cheering up, we had so much BAD LUCK
this year that it boosts morale to have such a week-end, and I don't talk
about the saturday were we had 2 place in time practice and we got kicked
out in the first corner by a yellow man (insider's joke) carrying number 4.

No chance of me defending GP3, sorry.

Just saw that on Eurosport... Gert really put himself in a no win situation
(TWICE... even had the audacity to signal about it the 2nd time... what a
loser!) but your driver bore the brunt of it. Most unfortunate. Still,
Ludovic<sp?> seemed happy enough with his weekend after the 2nd Cup race.
;-))
BTW: I'll try to make Zolder, but I can't guarantee it as we got a trade
fair starting the 19th. If I do make it, I'll try to stop bye to say hi.

DAF is planning to have their giant hospitality and because of what happened
last year they are not exactly popular in truck racing but we'll see.
I think we have a press day in Zolder on the thursday afternoon, I will let
you know about it but would a ride in the truck please you ? a couple of
laps...
