Your computer didn't lock. Turning this on just causes ungodly load times. Probably is a way to produce "custom" damage based on calculations having to do with force of impact at precise locations rather than generic "crash car" damage on everything up to this point. I noticed this in the options.cfg file and it caused my computer to lock up. What is it? Thanks. ----------------------------------------- Dan Belcher Team Racing Unlimited http://simcrash.00game.com

The problem: My computer seems to lock up when I try to Single Race with this vertex damage option on. It doesn't lock, Just takes as long as 5 to 10 min to load on some systems. -- Kevin Anderson [email hidden] --------------------------------------------------- "Dan Belcher" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > > > >Oops! Can someone really explain what vertex is? I thought it had something to do with how the polygons tat make up an object are connected? I hope it does not mean visual 'side and rear' damage and that without this hack in the final version you will not see side and rear end damage. That would be a bummer because Viper has the best side paint scrapping of anygame. I would hate having to wait 1:30 seconds for a race to load. I guess it doesn't matter too much because from the cockpit you can only see the hood and it appears damage does not show up in replays so I probably wouldn't notice 'vertex' damage while playing anyway....but hopefully those two items will be different in the final. I was really hoping to see a NASCAR game that allows you to trade paint and give someone a tire donut. :) Dan Belcher <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]... > I noticed this in the options.cfg file and it caused my computer to lockup. > What is it?
