I downloaded the demo and it said "do you have directx installed properly?"
Anyone else have this problem and could they fix it? Thanks.
This is not a problem...do you or don't you have the most current version
of Microsoft's direct X installed? (version 7.0a I think is renamed to
v7.1)(double check that!!!) If you have updated directx...you don't have a
problem. If you are still running dx3 or dx6 then Nascar Heat may not run
properly.
and...get ready...Direct X 8 is due to be released anyday now...
(watch for messages like....DX8 broke my system...how can I get dx7 back)
{often these messages come from the same folks who had trouble upgraded from
1 to 3 , 3 to 5, 5 to 6 and 6 to version 7.}

That's not a problem, it's a question. If the answer is yes, you
don't have a problem. If the answer is no, then go get the latest
version of DirectX from Microsoft, install it, and then reload the
demo.
