I presume the GP2 track is looking for a JAM referenced either for the
track, or the objects in it (i.e. the banner on a bridge or something)
These JAM used to be in a folder called GPjams (I think, can't be arsed to
look now!!), in a subdirectory with the circuit name (i.e. Monzjams)
HOWEVER
With GP3, you've got Hardware and Software JAMS!!!
There's a situation to be resolved here - but I really would like to see
someone work it out (I'm not a programmer!!)

Because of the tons of great tracks made from GP2 (and the same textures files
formats
between GP2 and 3), i think it would be very great to race in a lot of GP2
tracks in GP3.
So, i downloaded some GP2 tracks, open Track edit for GP3, click in the "import
from GP2"
option, replace a track in the game and try to load it in the game........but
the game crash
with an "invalid track" textures.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Your request has been forwarded to Geoff who got paid a hefty sum
for "producing" gp3. Stay tuned; don't call us, we'll call you.
