1st off, I am very impressed with the demo, and will definitely be
purchasing NH when it is released. It's going to be difficult choosing
between GPL and NH when I need my racing "fix"... Especially if NH
comes through with great internet multiplay support. Oh well, that's a
problem I can live with. :o)
One "complaint" I do have, at least with the demo is the crew
chief/spotter voice. For one thing, I don't need him to tell me every
lap "That's the best lap ever!". Kind of annoying I think - especially
on laps that I spent bouncing off the wall! (not that I have ever
experienced this. :o)
Also, I think the voice is just kind of...ummmm...too clear. Sounds
more like this guy is sitting next to me in the right seat, or possibly
some God-like figure floating along in my head (and to think...without
the aid of illicit drugs!). I almost expect to hear him say (in his
best Obie-Won-Kanobie (sorry, not a clue how to spell that name!)
voice "Use the force, Bobby..." IMHO, It would add greatly to the
immersion factor to have the crew chief/spotter sound as if he is
speaking through a two-way radio - complete with static, lack of
clarity, etc...
Any comments on this?
